Career Technical Education (CTE)
What is Career Technical Education (CTE)?
Career Technical Education (CTE) is an educational pathway that provide students with real world knowledge coupled with academic and technical skill that allow them to be prepared for a wide variety of career opportunities. CTE focuses on providing students training and skill development in high demand growth industries, including technology and science, healthcare and business management. CTE allow students to explore potential career paths as early as junior high.
Why choose CTE?
Career Technical Education (CTE) provides students a full range of post-secondary opportunities that can include college or career. CTE programs provide information on secondary options available in the community, region and beyond which give them an inside track to success. Students that participate in CTE experiences have a significantly greater high school graduation rate than the national average.
