Marshall, TX — Thanks to KMHT Radio 103.9 FM, Marshall Economic Development (MED) joined the effort to provide 1,200 backpacks filled with school essentials to kindergarten students throughout the KMHT listening area. This initiative ensures that local children start their educational journey prepared, supported, and ready to succeed.

“Supporting young learners is one of the best investments we can make in our community,” said Ashli Dansby, General Manager at KMHT. “By giving students the tools they need on day one, we’re helping to build confidence, encourage learning, and strengthen the future of Marshall and beyond.”

The project was made possible thanks to the generosity of numerous sponsors.

Backpack Sponsors:
TSTC, Texas Bank & Trust, Patterson Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, Whataburger, Smitty’s Car Wash, Marshall Place, American Cementing, Boys & Girls Club of the Big Pines, Marshall Economic Development (MED), City of Marshall, Marshall Eye Associates, Josey Ranch, and One Call Staffing.

In addition, Supply Sponsors helped fill each backpack with the tools students need:
