Marshall Economic Development Welcomes Doug Lewis to Board of Directors

Marshall, TX — Marshall Economic Development (MED) proudly announces the appointment of Doug Lewis as the fifth member of its Board of Directors. His appointment, officially approved by the Marshall City Council on July 10, 2025, strengthens MED’s leadership team as the organization continues its mission to grow jobs, attract investment, and expand opportunities for Marshall and the surrounding region.

Mr. Lewis brings more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing, a Business degree from Texas A&M University, and a strong record of public service, including two terms on the Marshall City Council. He also serves as Vice President of Lewis Engineering, a family-owned business that has been a trusted employer in the community for over 60 years.

“Doug’s unique blend of business expertise and civic leadership is a huge asset to MED,” said Colin Brady, MED’s Board of Directors Chairman. “His insight into both private enterprise and public service will help guide strategies that create real economic impact for our community.”

Lewis’s appointment comes at a time when MED is advancing major initiatives to attract new industries, expand existing businesses, and develop shovel-ready sites for investment. His experience in manufacturing and workforce development will help ensure MED remains aligned with the needs of both employers and employees, driving sustainable economic growth.
